Chief of Police
The City of Belleville, Kansas, located in North Central Kansas at the intersection of Highways 81 and 36, is accepting applications for the position of Chief of Police, to supervise a four officer department. Belleville has a population of approximately 2,000 citizens. The Chief of Police is a full time position. Salary will be based on qualifications. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license, and possess KLETC certification or the equivalent. Must have five years of progressively responsible law enforcement experience; two of those years must be in a command or administrative capacity (required) and must possess a strong working knowledge of investigations.
