  • Water Rates

    The following tariff of monthly water rates for all consumption and use of water for all services excluding church properties as defined below, from the Municipal water system of the City of Belleville, is hereby established with Ordinance #1051 and shall apply to the water bill payable November 1, 2022 and remain in effect thereafter until changed:

  • Gas Rates

    Effective on bills payable on the effective date noted below, and thereafter, the following rates shall be charged for natural gas furnished by the Belleville Municipal Gas Utility, and are hereby established to be charged against consumbers of such natural gas through one (1) meter and not for resale:

    Residential Service, consisting of direct natural gas usage in a dwelling for space heating, air conditioning, cooking, water heating, and other houshould purposes:

    All Over 1 MCF $8.695 per MCF

     

    Commercial Service, to customers engaged primarily in sale of goods or services including institutions and local, state and federal government agencies, churches, manufacturing and electric power generation:

  • Sewer Rates

    Residential Service, for buildings where at least 50% of the HVAC conditioned square footage space is used for domestic purposes and each dwelling is metered individually for municipal water.  Apartment and other multiple domestic used buildings with a single water meter will be billed under the General Service Rate.

    For residential service, monthly charges will be based on the average monthly water usage during the months of January, February and March of each year, and this average will be set for the each month for the rest of the year.

    • Minimum Charge:  $11.00 per month
    • Sewer charge per one thousand gallons of water used:  $3.680

     

    General Service, for buildings where less than 50% of the HVAC conditioned square footage space is used for other than domestic purposes and each business or other building use is metered individually for municipal water.

    For general services, monthly charges are based on water metered during the current month.

    •  Monthly Charge:  $18.00
    •  Sewer charge per one thousand gallons of water used:  $3.257

  • Electrical Rates

    Monthly electric rates to be charged each billing month of approximately thirty (30) days for electrical energy.

    City Residential Rate (CRR):

    City Small Business (CSB):  includes schools, churches, health facilities, institutions, government, and others not qualifying for Large Business.

    Rural Residential Rate (RRR):

    Rural Small Business (RSB) – includes same as City Small Business, plus any rural user with farm operations using 24,000 KWH or more per year.

    Large Business – City and Rural (LBR) – Applicable to all business and institutions consuming 240,000 KWH’s or more per year, or with monthly peak demands equal or exceeding 40 KW in any two (2) months per year.
